Day 31

Happy last day of January!  It's another cold day in Iowa.  Its reading 5° on my phone. Had a pretty good day at work.  However I have none from work.  Here is one.:

Day 30

Today i ran to walmart to get out of the house. Its killing me with all these snow storms and not being able to do anything. I walked pass the flowers and seen these. I fell Iin love with them

Came out with some goodies and a present for shauns birthday.

Day 29

Star Crunch. Im addicted. Enough said!

Shaun has this thing for cutting the tops off of pop cans. I think he should run with this and start making a drinking glass line. Wouldn't these be awesome just to drink out of.

Day 28

Day 27

Didn't do much today. I watched a movie, took a nap, and worked out. But my favorite part of today is this. A chocolate malt.

This is what it looked like when I went to work this morning. It was blowing pretty good.

Then after work this is what it was looking like. It got even worse after this. It just got to dark to photograph. There have been reports of 12 to 15 car crashes in few spots in eastern iowa. Its dangerous out.

 

So Shaun and I were watching the grammys. and we got a craving for some malts. However we didn't have any more milk. So we ventured out to get some. It was fun!!

Had caseys pizza for supper while we watched captain philips.

Day 23

I tackled my closet today. This is what I have narrowed down to my "fancy" shoes. I also have two more pairs of tennis shoes and one pair of flip flops. I think I have cured my shoe obsession.

This is the end product of the closet so far. I have all my work clothes right where I can get to them all and all hung up. I need more hangers though so I can hang up more tees.

Listened to Pandora tonight while I cleaned. This popped on and instantly I think of my childhood and going to weddings and hearing this song as the first dance for the couple. Awww weddings. I love weddings!

So I love the fact that duck tape now comes in different styles. My fairly new laundry basket broke the first time I used it and so I decided to do my kind of fixing. Looks good huh?

Day 22

Made smoothies for supper tonight. I couldn't find an outlet in the kitchen so I had to bring the cooking into the living room.

Made soup tonight. Cheesy Broccoli. YUMMY!

Day 20

 Pretty boring day here today. Watched movies and cleaned the apartment so all I have to do tomorrow is wash clothes. It will be my last day of my awesome vacation. But I am ready to get back to work!

 

Tonight I cleaned Lizzard's cage. I think me and the roommate bonded.

Shaun has a new toy.

I actually made something tonight. MN very own Juicy Lucy Burgers. It was a hit.

Day Seventeen

Went shopping with Kathy and Shaun. We ate at the Long Horn Steakhouse. It was delish!

I bought my first  "silver jeans". Those things are expensive!

Day Sixteen

Happy Sweet Sixteen Day. I cant believe its been sixteen days of blogging and I have only missed one day. For most of the day I had my butt planted on the couch and watched DIY network and HGTV. Love those channels. But Im not going to post pictures of the tv. Instead I am going to show you want I am going to work on for tomorrow.

tomorrow I am going to look for GOOD pillows. Shaun and I both have an addiction to pillows and we both picked really bad quality pillows. Feather pillows. I swear every time I walk out of our bedroom I look like a chicken. Feathers EVERYWHERE!

I need some organization skills when it comes to my closet. Anyone want to come help?

Shaun is going to kill me for posting this. But the question I want to end todays blog with a question. Why do men find the need to fix all wounds themselves? Shaun burnt the crap out of his arms at work last night. He doesn't feel the need to see a doctor about the missing skin that the heat took off.

Day Fifteen

Today, January 15th, marks 11 years since my grandpa passed. Usually you spend your day remembering your loved ones death and you miss them horribly. Yes I miss him but I spent my day more laughing at the memories then being upset that he is gone. He was a funny man and would do anything for any Joe on the street. As much as I wanted to I am not going to post a picture of me with him. That's what Facebook is for. ;) But here are some photos of the rest of my day.

So I have discovered allrecipes.com app. I love it. so I picked a few dinners that look good to eat and went to the store to get some food to make the stuff. Cross your fingers it wont turn out burnt or that I don't burn down the complex.

I went out to eat with Shaun's mom before going to a movie tonight. Thank you Kathy! This was the best I have had at Applebees in such a long time. I will have to learn how to make them.

Finally I ended my night by going to see American Hustle. Great movie! A must see. Bradley Cooper is HOT HOT HOT!

Day Fourteen

Well its my first day off of four! Super happy that I finally have some days off where I don't have anything planned. So day one was supposed to just be laundry. But it turned into so much more. I got Shaun's laundry done (mine yet to do). I went with a friend and her little girls so I could watch one while the others were in the chair. Then I finally took cans in to the redemption center. It was pretty bad because we drink pop like no other and no one likes taking them in so they just keep piling up. Then when I got home I had this need to clean. So I finally did something that has been needed to be done since we moved in. I put the kitchen together. Now the kitchen table can finally be used for a kitchen table and not a storage space. I am so proud of it that I decided that it was going to be my picture for the day.

If you have been here in the last three months you know this is a big accomplishment!

I also have all the Christmas decorations ready for storage.

Day thirteen

Day Thirteen. Last early day for a while. Now I have four days off. Super excited.
